A little rant never hurt anyone!

Hey beautiful friends!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far! I can't believe its Wednesday already! Where has this week gone and what happened to October?! I must have been in a daze or something because I honestly feel like we just started October last week. Boo! I really wanted to update the blog yesterday, but work killed me yesterday! Tuesdays are normally our insanely busy days and it proved to be another one yesterday. I had 2 C-sections and 3 trials scheduled and 2 OB checks came in. Luckily, most of the mama's and babies were healthy yesterday, but one baby was pretty scary. We had to bag the baby, but it finally managed to breathe. When I left yesterday evening the pediatrician was in the nursery with it, so I am hoping when I go to work today I hear good news. It was just a strange situation over all. They father of the baby was kind of creepy, he bragged about being a sex addict-seriously, who brags about that? And he kept looking at me and it totally creeped me out. (I hope that he knows that he can't have an 'relations' with his wife for about 6 weeks or so.) Then, he wanted to assist the doctor in delivering the baby, which I have never witnessed and even the nurses said that was weird.  I'm really down for the father to be involved in the birth of their child, but there's not really a lot of room down their for 2 people and I'd want a professional. Once we got the baby to the warmer they father and aunt were wanting to video tape everything. (Why would you want to video tape us bagging the baby??) Its a scary situation! The nurses said no, but the people video taped anyway and continued to get in our way. I'm just glad we were able to get the baby stable.

Phew!! sorry about that rambling rampage! It didn't help that my help yesterday abandoned me for a smoke break when I had to leave to pick up my daughter and I was still taking notes down for the nurse. (please note, I have no problem with people taking smoke breaks, but there is a time and place for it! Not while we are swamped and one of us has to give report and leave so they can get their daughter on time!) ugh...okay that's enough!

On a lighter note, I love most of the nurses and other OB staff that I work with. They make that place so enjoyable and I love our silly times. It is quite possibly one of the best jobs that I have ever had and its very rewarding! I love being surrounded by newborn babies!

Since I didn't post yesterday, I have to make up yesterday's and todays truths for the 30 Days of Truth challenge.

Something you love about yourself.

This has always been kind of hard for me. I always have trouble coming up with something I love about myself because I tend to be better at finding the things I don't love about myself. Yeah Yeah, i know that's not the positive way to be, but its the truth! So, i'm not sure whether I should be completely vain and say "I've got a nice rack" or reach down deep and find something that isn't on the outside. Can I say that I love my daughter? She's a piece of me, so does that work? haha. I bet that's a big no. Okay. I am reaching down deep....I love my compassion! I have been compassionate since I was little. I even got an award for being most compassionate in grade school. I will try to do anything for anyone. I believe that you should treat others as you would like to be treated and that definitely fuels my compassion.  I pray that my daughter will see this and will be compassionate also.

Something you have to forgive yourself for.

There are plenty of things that I need to forgive myself for. I am pretty hard on myself most days and I tend to find more and more things that I resent about myself, but I believe that the ultimate thing that I need to forgive myself for is my temper. It is basically the root of all my problems.

Okay, that's it for today its time to go make some lunch for my little munchkin and then organize the house a bit before work. I hope that everyone has a beautiful day today!

P.S. I want to thank each of you gorgeous readers! You all are so wonderful! Also, thank you for your inspiring comments on my last truth post. It is so great to know that I am not the only one that deals with a nasty temper at times. haha.

WOW! I bet that was a big scare! I remember hearing all these horror stories when I was pregnant with Aidyn! I was terrified that he was going to be sick when he was born! I dont think I would have been video taping during a time like that! I would have been hysterical!

p.s. Evangelina is just adorable!
